LIBERTY:

…of POSITIONS and Dispositions..,

Psalm 7:17 “I will praise the Lord according to ‘HIS’ righteousness!”

For the longest time SHAME has taught me I CANNOT lift up HOLY hands in worship based on what those hands were DOING prior! And that has kept my hands shackled to my side through the most moving worship experiences.

The FACT that it’s HIS righteousness and not my ACTS that should be the basis of my Worship has just SET ME FREE, and given PROFOUND SIGNIFICANCE to Jesus’ GAME CHANGING statement…”IT IS FINISHED”.

My SHAME is finished.

My REMORSE is finished.

My SELF AWARENESS is finished.

My DRY WORSHIP is finished.

Frankly….my ‘MY’ is finished!

It’s ALL from him. It’s ALL about him.Now THAT’S liberating!

And THAT liberty is why I can LIFT UP HOLY HANDS, WITHOUT WRATH OR DOUBTING in ABANDONED WORSHIP, and literally, …’PRAISE the Lord ACCORDING to ‘HIS righteousness!’

NEVER will I let my SINFUL DISPOSITION affect my RIGHTEOUSNESS POSITION!

,for OF him, and TO Him, and THROUGH him are all THINGS!

my worship included.

  1. He made Him who knew no sin TO BE SIN FOR US that WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD in Him.

Not just righteousness, but THE RIGHTEOUSNESS. The standard of righteousness. God is beginning to reveal to us, that whenever we stand before Him and disqualify ourselves we devalue the completeness of the work that Jesus did. I am righteousness because He has declared me so. He has paid the price for me to be righteous and in His eyes, I am blameless. The reason we worship God is because He alone is able.

” NOW to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Saviour, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen (so be it)

I am the righteousness of God in Christ. He will present me faultless before the presence of His glory because I truat in His ability to keep me more than I trust in my own ability to fall away.
